- Dogs are allowed from the day after Labor Day through the third Friday in June.

How to get a beach sticker in Truro, Mass.

Are dogs allowed on national seashore beaches in Truro?
Dogs are allowed on some National Seashore beaches in the summer, but usually Head of the Meadow is restricted to pets. Try Herring Cove beach nearby if you want a nice beach to visit with your pet in the summer.
Are there any off-leash dog beaches in Truro?
No, Truro requires dogs to be on a leash when they’re allowed on the public beaches, on both town-owned and national seashore beaches.

Oversand driving permits are available at Race Point Beach in provincetown. They’re good for Race Point, and sometimes High Head, Coast Guard Road, and Head of the Meadow.

Yes. There are lots of seals and sharks on beaches in truro that are facing the open Atlantic Ocean.
You’re less likely to spot a great white shark in Cape Cod Bay, but they’re still there.
