There’s no better place to meet friendly dogs than at one of these dog parks on cape cod.  Take off the leash and let off some steam! We’ve also included the off-leash dog beach in ptown, the entire beach is a giant doggie playground.

1431 Phinneys Lane, Hyannis, MA

The Barnstable Dog Park opened in 2018 and is located next to Hathaway’s Pond. The 22-acre location near Hathaway’s pond features areas for large dogs, small dogs, and a training area. There are benches for the humans and drinking fountains for the dogs.

The barnstable dog park is open from Dawn to Dusk. The water is available in the summer season but gets turned off for the winter.

Brewster, ma

The Brewster dog park opened in May 2022 and is located at 631 Harwich Road (Route 124) in Brewster, MA. The park is open dawn to dusk, and offers a one acre area for large dogs and a half acre area for small dogs.

cape cod’s first off-leash dog park, fresh pond dog park in dennis is a cozy fenced in with two enclosed areas set aside a swimming pond and 1/2 mile dog hiking trail in the woods. It’s a wonderful place.

Falmouth, ma

Falmouth Dog Park

257 Brick Kiln Rd, East Falmouth, MA

The Falmouth Dog Park is a 1.6 acre site on town-owned land with two fenced play areas for dogs. There are separate areas for small dogs and large dogs. Both areas are covered with pea stones and sand and include benches, water bubblers, and waste disposal cans.

Note: During the winter months, the water is turned off. Please bring water for your pets.

mashpee, ma

Mashpee Dog Park

180 Ashumet Road, Mashpee, MA

the Mashpee Dog Park is opened in the summer of 2015. It sits on ashamet road next to the pickleball park.

Mashpee’s dog park is open from Dawn to dusk. Dogs must be at least 4 months old to play here and need to be vaccinated.

Pilgrim Bark Park

227 US Route 6, Provincetown, MA

Pilgrim bark park is located on the corner of route 6 and shank painter road in provincetown, ma. It seems like it’s the only free parking in p-town.

Pilgrim bark park is one of the nicest dog parks you’ll ever visit. It offers a dog water fountain, dog memorial, and even a dog art gallery if your dog is so artistically inclined. provincetown was voted the most dog-friendly town in america, and pilgrim bark park is a park of the reason of why.

pilgrim bark park is a great stopover on your way from route 6 into provincetown, the perfect place to let your dog run off some steam before heading to the dog-friendly haven that is commercial street.

pilgrim bark park was recently ranked the second best dog park in America.

but to true cape beach dogs, enclosed dog parks are nice… but they pale aside the lure of the tail-wagging fun to be had at the  off-leash dog beach of nearby. Check out the dog beach off of commercial street for the dog park experience on the sandy shores of Provincetown Harbor.

Yarmouth dog park

452–474 buck island road, yarmouth

The yarmouth dog park is located at the sandy pond recreation area, at 452–474 Buck Island Road in Yarmouth.

The park opened in 2015. It is a 26,000 square foot park with three separate enclosed areas to accommodate large dogs, small dogs, and an area for shy dogs or those in training.

The yarmouth dog park is a welcome addition to cape cod’s dog park scene, check it out!

Provincetown Dog Beach

The best dog park on cape cod isn’t technically a dog park – it’s a public beach where dogs are allowed to be offleash in the morning and evenings all summer long!

provincetown is the most dog friendly place on cape cod. As nice as the Pilgrim Bark Park is, it’s nothing compared to running free on the beaches of Provincetown Harbor. Just make sure that your dog can stay under voice control, otherwise they will take off down the beach and you’ll be running afterwards!

  • Dogs are allowed off-leash from Memorial Day through November 1 from 6AM–9am, and 6pm–9pm.
  • THe rest of the year pets are allowed off leash from 6am–9pm.
