- Dogs not allowed on Harwich Beaches in the summer, from Labor Day to Memorial Day
- Dogs are allowed on beaches in Harwich off-season, from the day after Labor Day through the day before Memorial Day
- Dogs are allowed to walk in the parking lot of Red River Beach before 7:30am to 9am and after 4:30 PM during the summer

Dogs are not allowed off-leash on beaches in Harwich, even in the offseason. If you want an off-leash dog beach during the summer, you’ll need to visit Provincetown. The beach on Commercial Street allows dogs to run free off leash in the mornings and evenings all year long.
